Te Whatu Ora – Health New Zealand, Counties Manukau district in Auckland, New Zealand are currently seeking applications from exceptional Medical Radiation Technologist (MRTs) who have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in Interventional Radiology. We are looking for a motivated, organised, team player who is looking for the next step in their career. If you are passionate about IR and enjoy teaching this could be the role for you.

 

Currently we have one dedicated state of the art Philips Azurion Flexarm in a theatre capable Interventional suite, with a second Siemens Artis Zee MP interventional capable room. Our team undertakes a vast range of procedures performed from EVAR, TACE, Angiograms, Biliary PTC, AV Fistulograms, Portacath insertions, nephrostomy insertions, HSG, Barium Swallows and ERCP etc.

 

This modality operates weekdays with an urgent on-call component out of hours and this role will have time shared across IR and General X-ray. Training as required will be provided.

 

Our Radiology department is large and diverse with MRT’s operating state of the art medical imaging equipment that also includes:

• Two dedicated Cardiac Cath labs suites.

• 14 General x-ray rooms, most with DR

• A specialist Radiology Theatre service with 3D O arm imaging and flat panel image intensifiers

• Four CT scanners performing acute and elective CT scans including Cardiac and Neuroperfusion CT

• 3 MRI scanners

Te Whatu Ora – Health New Zealand, Counties Manukau Radiology is a dynamic and progressive department at the forefront of innovative health care delivery within the New Zealand Public Health Sector. Our clinical services are located on two sites, Middlemore Hospital and Manukau Surgery Centre. The main hospital is in Otahuhu whilst our outpatient and day surgery centre is located in Manukau, a short distance from our main site. Middlemore Hospital is the National Spinal and Burns centre, a tertiary centre for Orthopaedics, and a major trauma hospital exposing you to a wide range of pathology imaging.
