Clinical Midwife Manager – Maternity South

Part Time (0.4 FTE) opportunity available

Health New Zealand Te Whatu Ora Counties Manukau is one of the most diverse health care providers in Australasia.  Our service has over 7000 births per year and has a strong midwifery focus.  We offer primary, secondary and tertiary services, within a variety of hospital and community based facilities. 

On the maternity wards, we provide inpatient postnatal care to women and babies.

We have opportunities available for midwives who would like to move into the next stage of their career, as a Clinical Midwife Manager, to join our leadership team on the maternity wards. This role will provide clinical leadership and direction for staff during their shift to ensure effective day to day clinical management of Maternity South. 

Essential Requirements:

·         Registration with the NZ Midwifery Council with Current Annual Practicing Certificate

·         5+ years recent midwifery experience inclusive of a Secondary and Tertiary Birthing Unit

·         Demonstrated understanding of the New Zealand Maternity Model of Care and Section 88

·         Ability to lead and co-ordinate a team
