Occupational Therapy Clinical Coach, ARHOP (Adult Rehabilitation and Health of Older People)

Permanent, 1.0 FTE

Remuneration as per PSA Allied Health MECA guidelines (between DA2 $114,330 – DC2 $125,145)

Occupational therapists- New career pathway opportunity. We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist that is ready for a new challenge.

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the friendly and enthusiastic team at Counties. 

This role is one of several across ARHOP (Adult Rehabilitation & Health of Older People) planned to support our occupational therapy workforce. This role will be supporting Occupational therapists working across our rehabilitation settings:

• Acute care of the Elderly
• Orthogeriatric rehab
• General rehabilitation
• Neuro rehabilitation including stroke

The primary focus will be coaching other Occupational Therapists who are new to the service, recently graduated, or working on aspects of their own professional development.  

The preferred applicant will have a passion for mentoring and coaching others, workforce development and service improvement. As Clinical Coach, you will work in conjunction with the team Section Head to support our occupational therapists in delivering high quality, evidence-based inpatient rehabilitation.  

Support will be offered by the Clinical Director - Allied Health Scientific and Technical, the Professional lead- occupational Therapy, other clinical coaches and the wider leadership team.

Essential:

• NZ Registration with a current Annual Practising Certificate

• Minimum of 5 years recent clinical experience including neurological rehab and/or health of older people rehabilitation

• Full drivers licence

 Desirable:

• Experience in clinical education and supervision

• Experience in service development
