Te Whatu Ora – Health New Zealand, Counties Manukau district in Auckland, New Zealand are currently seeking applications from exceptional Medical Radiation Technologists (MRTs) with 5 years’ experience in General x-ray for this full-time permanent position. We are looking for a motivated, organised team player who is looking for the next step in their career. If you are passionate about general x-ray, enjoy the challenge of adaptive technique and sharing your knowledge then this could be the role for you. Even for experienced MRT, we have opportunities for you to further develop your skills.


Our Radiology department is large and diverse with state of the art medical imaging equipment that includes:

• 14 General x-ray rooms, most with DR

• Two dedicated Angiography suites

• A specialist Radiology Theatre service with 3D O arm imaging and flat panel image intensifiers

• Four CT scanners performing acute and elective CT scans including Cardiac CT

• 3T and 1.5T MRI scanners

Te Whatu Ora Counties Manukau Radiology department is dynamic and progressive and at the forefront of innovative health care delivery within the New Zealand Public Health Sector. Our clinical services are located on two sites, Middlemore Hospital and Manukau Surgery Centre. The main hospital is in Otahuhu whilst our outpatient and day surgery centre is located in Manukau, a short distance from our main site. Middlemore Hospital is the National Spinal and Burns centre, a tertiary centre for Orthopaedics, and a major trauma hospital exposing you to a wide range of pathology imaging.

Salaries are competitive and ongoing professional development is encouraged and supported. Registration is essential with the New Zealand Medical Radiation Technologist's Board We will reimburse successful candidates Registration Fees with MRTB. Remuneration is as per the PSA Medical Radiation Technologists MECA between step 8 $91,828 & 9 $95,828 or on the APEX Medical Imaging Technologists MECA between step 8 $86,128 & 9 $90,128.
